Where. Pima Community
College's Downtown Campus, Campus Center Auditorium (CC 180), 1255 N. Stone
Ave., at Speedway. Lots of adjacent free parking.
Directions.
Pima Community College's downtown campus is on the northwest corner of Speedway
and Stone, at 1255 N. Stone Ave.
From the Speedway and Stone
intersection, go north about 100 yards, turn left into the parking lot and go
left into the more southerly part of the lot to park.
Walk past the
large glittering fountain through the main entrance, continue through the big
lobby, bearing a bit to the right. Then take the corridor to your right a few
steps and it's the first room on your left.
If you need to ask
directions, it's in the Campus Center Auditorium, room CC-180, also known as
the Amethyst Room. Look for the bright yellow 8½ by 11
signs.
Important! If you are using the I-10 freeway,
construction has complicated things. There are no exits open between Prince
Road on the North and 29th Street on the South, which includes all the central
Tucson exits, including Speedway Blvd.
If you are coming from the
north, be sure to exit I-10 at Prince Road, where signs direct you to exit for
"local traffic." Then proceed south on the frontage road somewhat over 3 miles
to Speedway. Turn left on Speedway and go east less than one mile to Stone Ave,
the second traffic light.
Similarly, if you are coming from the
south, be sure to exit I-10 at 29th Street / 22nd Street, where signs direct
you to exit for "local traffic." Then proceed north on the frontage road
somewhat over 2 miles to Speedway. Then turn right on Speedway and go east on
Speedway Blvd less than a mile to Stone Ave, the second traffic
light.
